Hyper Octave Handbell Choir

Our Bell Choir meets on Monday evenings at 6:00pm for a one hour rehearsal. We would love for you to come by and check us out. We sometimes take a couple or so weeks off after we play for a church service, so refer to the church calendar to see if we are rehearsing that week. Don’t worry, we are not a top level group as far as complicated music goes. We are all just beginners.

Shirley O’Quilters

Although there have been various quilting groups throughout the church’s history, this group formed before Fenton United Methodist Church’s 175th anniversary, which occurred in 2014, in order to make a special quilt to celebrate the occasion. The various quilters found the activity fun and just kept going. The group is name for Shirley Ott, who passed away in 2014. The group meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:00am in Room 304 in the Education Building. They use traditional hand quilting on small and large quilts. They can also machine quilt projects. Some of their customers have brought in partially done blocks and unfinished projects from attics and basements. The group also works on charitable projects. They are currently sewing weighted lap pads for autistic and hyperactive school children. For more information, contact Carol Henderson, 239-784-6586, cahender@aol.com
