Our Team

Rev. Carl Knapp is an Elder in the Missouri Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church. He is a 2000 graduate of Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University, Dallas, TX, with a Master of Divinity. He brings a breadth of knowledge and experience as a Senior Pastor with a solid history of leading congregations and fostering spiritual growth.

Rev. Knapp will be leading both Fenton United Methodist Church and Salem in Ballwin United Methodist Church beginning on July 1, 2025. He brings an infectious joy for serving Christ and helping people use their spiritual gifts for maximizing impact for the Kingdom of God and has a passion for teaching and preaching the Bible, working with multi-generations, and meeting the needs of the community.

Rev. Carl and Melissa have been married nearly 30 years. They both grew up in St. Charles and look forward to returning to the area where they will be closer to their family. They have two grown sons, Cameron (25) and Evan (22). Evan will be married to Lauren in July.

Melissa has been a High School Science and Math Teacher for the past three years. Prior to that, she was a substitute teacher for eight years. Melissa was a collegiate swimmer and coached swimming in the community they most recently served.

Rev. Carl and Melissa Knapp enjoy traveling, riding bikes, hiking, cooking, and doing outdoor projects.
